Our pastor is Dave Weiss. He is the founding pastor of New Creation Fellowship. He is ordained through the Church of the Brethren. Before starting New Creation, he was a youth leader for five years and still keeps active in youth ministry through speaking at youth events, serving on the jr. high youth committee for his district and is a regular writer for the youth ministry resource, Interlinc.
Dave is a bivocational pastor meaning, in addition to his pastoral duties, he holds down a full-time job in the field of graphic communications, a field he has worked in for over 20 years. Dave often uses his visual art skills within the worship service, painting images that help to communicate the messages he preaches. These paintings hang in the church as a reminder of the messages. Dave is also active in teaching others how to use the arts in the church and has founded the web ministry A.M.O.K. as a way of sharing ideas and resources. He leads a community art programs at New Creation (Studio New Creation) as well.
About his ministry, Dave says, "I wasn't always a minister. I haven't always lived a perfect life and try as I might, I still don't. I'm not a minister because I'm perfect, or because I feel I'm better than anyone else. I am a minister because Jesus Christ has changed my life and showed me God's love and I just want to show other people what I've found. No matter who you are, no matter what you've done, God has an awesome plan for your life. At New Creation we are dedicated to helping you find it. Come and See."
