Fred: Well, OK but...

Susan: I canıt believe what they did!

Fred: Who...

Susan: the board, theyıre at it again

Samantha: Hi Fred, Susan your face is all red is everything all right.

Susan: I just canıt believe it...

(Wilma and Barney enter, hand in hand. Wilma is in a hurry and Barney is lagging behind)

Wilma: Just come on! (they enter the box.)

Fred: Good morning Wilma, Good morning Barney

Wilma: Good Morning, Fred. Whatıs wrong with Susan?

Susan: Wrong, Iıll tell you whatıs wrong itıs the board. Theyıre trying to make changes again.

Barney: Why?

Susan: I donıt know but itıs a problem, theyıre saying something about needing vision.

Wilma: Vision, why I can see just fine?

Fred: Not vision again, why do they keep bringing that up?

Samantha: I say we just leave things the way they are.

Barney: Why?

Samantha: Oh just because.

Susan: They talk about a growing community and reaching them and evangelism Barney: Why?

Susan: Why indeed, I mean have you seen those people?

Samantha: Iım really comfortable just the way things are, well not quite, has anyone noticed itıs getting crowded as in here.

Susan: Well a little but I mean, community, community community. I have a sense of community right here.

Barney: why?

Wilma: Barney, donıt ask so many questions? Fred Your stepping on my foot?

Fred: Oh IŒm sorry, Yeah whatıs wrong with the status quo anyway

Samantha: I donıt know, if it was good enough for Paul and Silas, itıs good enough for me. Your Bible is poking me.

Fred: Doesnıt it say something in the Bible about keeping to yourself, be of the world and not in the world.

Wilma: Where does it say that?

Fred: Somewhere near the back, Book of Paul I think. Susan dear your elbowıs in my back.

Susan: Oh sorry, We just need to keep going the way weıre going and weıll be fine.

Barney: Why?

Wilma: I agree

Barney: (louder) Why?

Samantha: Yeah me too these four walls keep us safe?

Barney: (louder) Why?

Fred: I think so too, Ow my foot, would you please be careful.

Wilma: Sorry

Fred: Letıs tell the board we want everything to stay just the way it is.

Barney: (yells) WHY?????

All five adults: (shouting) Because thatıs the way weıve always done it.

(At these words the walls fall down and everyone stays crowded where the floor of the box was.)

Samantha: What do we do now?

Fred: I donıt know, this has never happened before.

Susan: Letıs pray that the walls would fly back into place.

Wilma: That would be a miracle.

Samantha: Does God still do miracles?

Fred: I donıt know, I havenıt seen one in a long time.

Susan: Do you remember Johnny

Samantha: I sure do, He came in here stinking to high heaven.

Wilma: Yeah wandered right in off the street, of all the nerve.

Fred: Yeah and remember how when the pastor asked if anyone needed to know Jesus and he ran up the aisle all crying and making a scene. He stayed a while but then he left.

Wilma: they always do

Susan: (realizing) Wilma, he became a missionary

Barney: Donıt you get it, Jesus touched Johnnyıs life. And thereıs a whole lot of Johnnyıs out there.

Samantha: But Barney, your just a child you donıt understand. If theyıre out there why donıt they just come here and join us right here within these...four...walls.

Barney: Why donıt you go to them? (Barney takes Wilma by the hand and exits a different way then the way they came)

Samantha: Of all the nerve

Susan: Heıs right. What would happen if we could reach fifty people just like Johnny

Fred: And what if all the other churches did too.

Susan: Maybe a vision is not such a bad idea.

Fred: I was feeling a little cooped up in there anyway, letıs go.

Samantha: (disgusted) Well Iım going home!

Narrator: and a little child will lead them.
