A.M.O.K. ACA Noahıs Ark Childrens Ministry

A.M.O.K. and the Association of Christian Artists teamed up on this project to do children's ministry with a Noah's Ark theme. The ministry aspect is comprised of three parts, face painting, photos, and coloring sheets that double as tracts.

The first part of the plan is the Picture Board. This is an old fashioned thing that still works well. After a child has had his face painted, he can stick his head through one of the holes and have his picture taken as if he were on the ark. Yes, I know the real ark didn't have portholes, but this was created to help a child really relate to what God did for humanity on the ark.

Face Painting Picture board

Board is constructed from three 4'x8' sheets of half inch plywood. Port holes with animal faces are cut out, port hole shutters are painted on the board as shown. Animal portholes are two-sided. The front is painted with the animal as shown. The back side is painted to look like the porthole cover. The portholes are hinged so that they can be opened for a child to stick his or her face through the holethat matches his face painting pattern. Kids who have a small design or no face paint can replace the Noah picture. This piece can do double duty as a puppet stage, with animal puppets replacing the corresponding homes or Noah telling his story.

Please note: be sure that the picture board is structurally secure so that it will not fall on anyone as the picture board can become quite heavy.

To photograph the child, simply use a polaroid camera, or you can use a digital camera and have a computer and printer there on hand to print out the photos.
