A.M.O.K. Workshop or Seminar

A.M.O.K. Arts Ministry Outreach for the Kingdom, is a ministry dedicated to using the arts to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teach the Bible.
Dave Weiss, has been a professional graphic designer for nearly 20 years. After searching for ways to make his Bible teaching really "stick," he came upon a verse, 1 Peter 4:10a, which says, "Each one should use whatver gifts he has received to serve others." A.M.O.K. was born. "Many people, especially kids, are visual and tactile learners, allowing them to create visual images and artistic creations will help them to remember the point of the story."
Dave began teaching using the ideas in his own youth ministry and eventually travelled to several other churches to teach other groups. Then one day he got the invitation to teach adults how to use these ideas in their own teaching. Dave says, "That idea was even more exciting, because it presented the ability to really multiply the ministry."

So what's involved in an
A.M.O.K. Workshop or Seminar

First we do at least one hands on project, (we can do more depending on the length of the seminar) This particular one is called Screaming Rocks. Then while the group is finishing their projects we discuss a lot of other ideas.
